What are Photoshop scripts?
Do the actions works with Photoshop Elements?
No the actions do not work with Photoshop Ellments. It might be possible to get some of the actions to work in Elements but we cannot support this or recommend that you buy the actions for use with Elements.
It is possible that in the future we will introduce a subset of actions that are Elements compatible so please check back at a later date.
How are the actions delivered?
After payment has gone through you will be emailed a download link for the actions, usually this takes only a few minutes. You are also given the option of a CD as well as the download at extra cost. Usually the actions are small downloads so a CD is not really required.
The 1-click DVD contains all the items available and will be posted out from the UK so please allow for delivery.
The Borders & Edges and Texture actions are larger downloads so are not recommended for those without a fast internet connection.
Do the actions work with with Windows and/or Macs?
Actions are cross platform and work with both Windows and OSX. As long as you can run Photoshop you can run the actions.
Please note that The Works V download has separate editions for PC and Mac so please make sure your order the correct version.
Is there a trial version available?
Unfortunately no. Due to the nature of the products it is not possible to create a trial or demo version.
Is there an upgrade policy?
Discounts are usually available for existing customers. There is also the option of upgrading to the DVD/The Works by paying just the difference from the DVD price and your existing purchases.
A certain action gives an error or only works with certain images - what’s wrong?
Some Photoshop operations do not work with 16-bit images or images that are not in RGB mode. Many actions will work with 16bit images but can only be guaranteed to work with 8 bit images. This is not a fault or a problem with the actions but rather a limitation of Photoshop itself.
The actions also expect the image to start off with a single layer called “background” (the Photoshop default). The results can be unpredicatable if your starting image has multiple layers.
I have a French/German/Spanish version of Photoshop, can I still use the actions?
Currently the actions only support English language versions of Photoshop. Some of the actions will work with non-English languages but we cannot guarantee this.
The Borders & Edges contain just PSD files so this are language independent and will work with any image processing software that supports layered .PSD files.
What payment options are available?
