20th August 2008

18th August 2008
As some of you may have heard we are bringing out a new set of actions for child portrait photography. They are not quite ready yet (hopefully Friday 22nd August) but we have put together a user guide that you can download. The link is http://www.1clickactions.com/pdfs/KidzGuide.pdf. There will be a newsletter coming out shortly with further details and also discount codes for existing customers. Anyone who has purchased the DVD 2.5 recently will be able to download the new set free of charge.
15th August 2008
We've added a link to a short questionnaire so we can get a little feedback on how we're doing. The survey can be found here and there is a $5 discount for anyone taking a few minutes to fill it in.
14th August 2008
The Pro action set might be delayed a short while as we have decided to bring out an additional new set designed for child portraiture (there is an example on the blog). The new set will hopefully see the light of day late next week but we're not ones to hit deadlines so no guarantees. Pricing is yet to be set but the Kidz set will be free to DVD 2.5 owners and there will be a discount for all other existing customers.
4th August 2008
The web host switchover is now completed and the forum is back up and running. Unfortunately the downtime was longer than anticipated but hopefully we will see and an improved performance and greater reliability now that the changes are complete.
3rd August 2008
The hosting transfer is (almost) completed but there are a few problems with the user group forum - hopefully we can get this problem resolved shortly.
2nd August 2008
The 1clickactions site and forum is being ported to a new host so unfortunately there might be some disruption to the site over the next day or two. Hopefully this will be minimal and once completed the site should be more reliable and see a speed increase.
2nd August 2008
We seem to be having a few reliability problems with our hosting service at the moment and this has led to more downtime than is acceptable and also problems with the forum and the blog. Hopefully this will be sorted soon, apologies for any inconvenience.
28th July 2008 We've added a featured photographer page to the website the first photographer being Ericka Lesch from Long Beach, California. If you would like to feature on these pages please email me for details.
26th July 2008
Karen B. won the July competition in ther user group and so takes the $50 voucher. Here's the winning entry.
25th July 2008
There is a bugfix for the "1clickUtility" action set available. The new version can be downloaded from here. This fix doesn't affect any existing actions but will be necessary for some future releases. You may find a use for them in the meantime - no documentation about what they do or how to use them but they are basically edge-masks and so on. If you do want to install them please uninstall the old ones first and make sure you don't change the name of either the actions or the action sets. There are separate versions for CS2 and CS3.
24th July 2008
Just a couple of days left to vote in the July 08 competition Vote here
20th July 2008
You can now vote for the winner of the July 2008 competition at the user group. The direct link to the voting topic is http://www.1clickactions.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=147. Please take a few minutes to look at the entries and cast a vote for you favourite.
3rd July 2008
We've just added a set of free Lightoom Presets to the download area of the 1clickactions UserGroup forum. Just log-in to download them. There are only about 4 or 5 but you are welcome to use them.
We could really do with some more entries in the compeition on the forum - $50 prize remember.
26th June 2008 Apparently a file purporting to be our 5 volume set has been offered for exchange and/or download on a warez site.
The file is called “5sets.exe” but I would like to confirm that this is definitely not one of ours. None of our actions are packaged as .exe files and I would recommend that if you come across this file not to open it as it is likely to be a virus or malware of some sort.
All our files are either sent direct from ourselves at 1clickactions or downloaded from Plimus - any files from anywhere else are suspicious.
On a more positive note for a limited time we have renewed the 15% discount code that was introduced with the new site. The code is still “1click15″ for anyone who missed it and is valid on all the items on the website.
19th June 2008
We are having database problems on the server at the moment (9:45 GMT) and as a result the forum, the support system and the blog are all offline. Hopefully we'll get things up and running shortly. Sorry for any inconvenience. OK 15:40 GMT and everything is up and running again.
14th June 2008
The new support system is now working fully so it should make it easier to get help regarding ordering and support and avoid any potential problems with emails marked as spam. The address is http://www.1clickactions.com/support.
We've also added a working download section for members of the 1click forum. Not too much in there at the moment but anyone who missed last years Christmas offering can download it from the forum download section. Only requirement is that you must have made at least one valid post before you can access the download area.
Lastly for now we've added the option of buying gift certificates if you want to buy a present for the photographer in your life. They are available in a range of values and more details can be found at the 1click Gift Voucher/Certificate page.
9th June 2008
Ever ones to be dragged kicking and screaming into the latest technology we've added a RSS New feed to the website. The link is here on the news page but the full address is http:///www.1clickactions.com/rss/newrelease.xml. We're just testing the water with this for now but we will post news of new releases on this feed as well as the website. Once we're happy with the way it works (ie when I've read the manual) there'll be another feed for more general news.
5th June 2008
We're back! Sorry for any delays with answering emails over the past few days - normal service has now been resumed.
30th May 2008
We might be a little slow in replying to emails over the next few days as we are taking a short break and internet access is likely to be quite restricted for us. Orders online will be unaffected asPlimus will still be handling the downloads for us. Orders for the DVD might take a day or so longer than normal but we'll endeavour to get them out as soon as we can. We're even taking a few DVDs away with us so we can post them direct. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused by the delay. Things should be back to normal by the middle of next week.
30th May 2008
Most people should by now have received the newsletter with the discount codes for the QuickDraw and Contrast Effect actions but as usual quite a few newsletters get bounced back to us either as spam or because the email address has changed. Any existing customers who aren't receiving the emails then let us know and we'll resend them to your new address.
23rd May 2008
The new action sets are now available - newsletter with more details over the weekend. The new action pages can be found at QuickDraw and Contrast Effects Ordering is available already for immediate download. There'll be discounts for existing owners and an updated DVD will be made available early next week which will include the new actions.
22nd May 2008
Hopefully we should have 2 new action sets available this weekend (might drift into next week) - the QuickDraw actions and also the HDR/ToneMapped/LucisArt effect actions - if anyone can come up with a name for these we'd be very grateful!
We should have a newsletter going out within the next few days. The new actions will be available either separately or as a combination pack at a discount.
15th May 2008
We've finally added the option of a shopping cart to the ordering pages so anyone wanting to buy more than one item no longer has to go through the checkout multiple times. Its been a long time coming but hopefully it should make the ordering process a little easier. Currency can be selected with the drop down menu if your location is not correctly detected automatically.
Its also now possible to buy the DVDs through the Plimus ordering system. Post will still be from the UK but you can now order through the same checkout as the download versions. Current owners who want to upgrade to the DVD please email for a price.
8th May 2008
As you may know we are based in the UK but our prices are all in US dollars. All purchases are converted to your local currency at the checkout anyway but for added convenience we are trying out an alternative order page that should automatically display the price in your local currency. Seeing as this is done by witchcraft rather than my PHP writing ability we though it best to offer it as an alternative rather than as the default for a while. The new ordering page is at this link so you can order from either of the two ordering pages - both are safe and the prices are the same.
8th May 2008
We're closing the voting for the April competition in the UserGroup tomorrow so please drop by and cast your vote.
29th April 2008
We've added an option to unsubscribe from the 1-click Newsletter (or sign up if you're not already) at this page.
14th April 2008
We've finally started on the long threatened website facelift so hopefully in a week or two we should have a whole new look. If any one has any photos they'd like to submit for inclusion in the gallery section please email them.
4th April 2008
The forum problems are now solved and working correctly. One change is that "guests" can no longer see posts are download attachments; this functionality is reserved for registered members. Just a reminder that there is a competition in the forum at the moment to win actions sets etc.
3rd April 2008
We are having a few problems with the new forum, it is working but any attachments posted previously seem to have gone AWOL. Hopefully these can be restored - we're working on it.
1st April 2008
There might be some downtime with the forum over the next few days as we try and update the software. The current board layout and functionality is a bit rubbish (sorry for the technical jargon!) so hopefully things will look and work better after the update.
20th March 2008
There is an update now available for Volume 3 owners that contains a few new actions. This is free to existing owners who can download the actions using their existing order details if they ordered from this site (ie through Plimus). Customers who ordered from the Mount Photo site (ie through PayLoadz) please email for details. We should have a newsletter going out in the next few days with more details.
DVD owners should login into the DVD section where they can download the update as well as a free copy of out Toning Curves. The curve details can be found at http://www.1clickactions.com/curves.htm - the price is $9.95 and potential customers should be aware that there are no actions included - just the curves (about 25 or so). Again there will be more details in a forthcoming newsletter.
18th March 2008
We've reintroduced ordering the actions onto the www.mountphoto.co.uk for a few of the actions sets.
17th March 2008
There should be an update to Volume 3 in the next few weeks, with one or two new actions. The update will be free to all existing Volume 3 customers and any new customers who purchase Volume 3 before the new actions are added will also get the update.
There will also be the Tone Curves coming out in the next few weeks, these will be free to the 1-click DVD owners.
After that hopefully the Lightroom and Camera Raw presets will see the light of day followed by another set of actions that might be called Volume 8 (but then again they might be called Volume 11).
9th March 2008
We have removed the option of purchasing the actions from the www.mountphoto.co.uk site due to repeated fraud attempts. Those customers who purchased from the other site will still be supported and be entitled to updates etc but all ordering will now have to be from the www.1clickactions.com site. Sorry for the inconvenience - except to the fraudsters of course who I hope are very inconvenienced and that their heads fall off.
25th February 2008
Volume 9 is now available. The discount codes for existing customers should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday so it might be advantageous to wait for these before ordering. Please download the PDF file and check compatibility with the various Photoshop versions before ordering. In short all the actions should work with CS2 and CS3 (if not we'll put it right and shoot the developer!), all except one work with CS (WarmFade) and a couple are slightly rewritten so the result might vary slightly from those obtained with CS2 and CS3 - although not by much. Photoshop 7 has a few more issues - two or three are problematic and a few have been rewritten to make sure they work so again the results might vary slightly from those achieved with CS2 and CS3.
22nd February 2008
Preliminary details about 1clickactions Volume 9 can now be downloaded from here - the actions should be on sale before the end of the month.
18th February 2008
We've quite a large and growing "work-in-progress" file of actions (in addition to the forthcoming release) an example of which can be found on the User's Photos page. John Seaman has been kind enough to do some testing of the QuickDraw action and has provided us with a couple of examples (the yacht picture towards the bottom of the page). The action is not quite ready yet but will eventually see the light of day.
17th February 2008
Apparently everyone has to have one so we've set up a blog - not sure what we are going to put in it as yet but it's located at www.1clickactions.com/blog
12th February 2008
We have a new set of actions almost ready for release. The provisional release date is late February. Seeing as we've not had a Volume 9 the new release will fill this gap. There will be around 25 new actions in 2 sets with a theme of Light & Dark that should prove useful for wedding photographers looking for something a little different. One set produces images with a light and airy feel and the other darker, more mysterious pictures.
There should be a newsletter sent out shortly with more details and discounts codes for existing customers.
4th January 2008
Not sure how much time we can devote to it but for any one interested there's a Flickr Group that we've just set up. Please feel free to join and post your photos and comments. It's only ten minutes old so there's no members yet :)

18th December 2007
Just to let everyone know that the online ordering system will remain online over the holidays and the immediate download system will still work as normal. So if you're disappointed with your presents on Christmas morning you could always console yourself with a few Photoshop actions. Obviously DVD orders will be delayed due to the postal service holidays but orders will still be processed as soon as possible.
28th November 2007
We've added a DVD to our options for those interested in the actions. Basically this is the easiest (and cheapest!) way to get the full range of our products in one go. The DVD includes all the actions, borders and edges, textures - everything! Until the end of December the DVD will be $149.95 + postage. For existing customers wanting to "complete their collection" there will be special deals available - please e-mail for details or look out for the newsletter going out in a day or two.
The DVD willl be available from December 1st but pre-orders are being taken
- it might make a nice Christmas present.

We've added an extra pack of textures for use with the texture actions. The new set contains 15 hi-res textures for use with the existing actions but please note that no actions are included in this set, just the textures. It available for $14.95 and can be ordered from the order page.

23rd October 2007
The new Texture/Action set is now available, see VolumeX for samples.
14th October 2007 New Release! Our new actions and textures will be released on 22nd October (not for certain but 95% definite). The pack will comprise 2 sets of actions and a set of texture/overlay files. The actions will create the necessary layers, apply the texture and create effects such as Cross Processed textures, Vintage textured images etc. The second set of actions included will be a set of utilities to run after applying the textures. For example the option of converting a coloured texture to BW, creating adjustment layers to vary the strength of the texture, add a vignette and so on. There will be around 30 texture files included with the actions and a further pack available as an optional extra. You can of course use any textures you own already or create your own.
Price is likely to be $34.95 for existing users.
Also due for release will be a 1-click actions DVD that will include all the actions from Volume 1-7, the Volume 2 add on pack with the additional brushed borders. All 15 sets of Borders & Edges (high resolution) will also be on the DVD. There will be extra documentation and tutorials. There will also be a new volume of 10 actions not previously available including a new infrared action, new glow effects, box brownie action etc. Due to the file sizes this will not be available for download and will be supplied on DVD only. Whilst many customers will already own many of the actions it would make a nice Christmas gift (we'll even gift wrap if required!) for a Photoshop using friend or loved one. Please contact us for advance notification of availability and pricing - it will definitely be available for Christmas.

Customers can still purchase individual action sets or the combination packs as usual. Anyone wanting a specific combination of action sets please email first and we will arrange it for you.

29th August 2007
We are going away for a few days (back on the 2nd September) so we will be unable to answer any emails for a short while. The ordering system will remain up and running so any orders placed should be fulfilled as normal.
23rd August 2007
The add-on pack for Volume 2 is now available for purchase. This volume compliments the actions in Volume 2 and is intended primarily for photographers interested in Black and White and also the old alternative processes.
Volume 2 is not required for the new actions to work as this is a complete new set of actions.
Included with the actions are 4 Brushed Borders designed to replicate the look of hand coated emulsions. An additional package of brushed borders is also available.
For the adventurous you can of course apply the actions to colour images. The Tinted BW action in particular might find favour with portrait photographers as it applies a soft glow and adjustable desaturation.
Discounts are available for existing customers (please e-mail). For the adventurous you can of course apply the actions to colour images. The Tinted BW action might find favour with portrait photographers as it applies a soft glow and adjustable desaturation.

19th July
Volume 7 is now on sale - we'll try and post a few more examples soon. Basically the theme is a "Vintage" type effect, including fades and cross-processing. Discounts are available existing customers - please e-mail for details.

22nd May 2007
Volume 6 of 1-Click Actions is now available. No effects, no enhancements just timesavers. 15th May 2007

9th May 2007 Any existing users requiring CS3 versions of the actions please e-mail and we'll send them out to you. Currently we have only rewritten a few of the actions for CS3 as the vast majority work unaltered. We also intend in the near future to add a few new actions that take advantage of the new features in CS3 - these wil be free to existing users.
27th January 2007 Just a reminder that 1-Click Actions for CS3 will be a free update to all users when the full version of CS3 is released. The majority of actions work already and the remainder have been modified for CS3.
